Labview fatal error in fpsane.cpp, line 399

arg!!!
i have LV 8.2.1 on my laptop. LV is crashing very often without telling me why. but this time it actually did:
fpsane.cpp, line 399.
never had this problem with LV 8.2.0 (upgraded only because had to reboot computer).
what was i doing at that time:
after changing some typedefs on enums, rewired a few nodes on a (very) simple subvi, that includes only but 4 enums and a case structure.
then i went preparing night food for baby. came back and had error.... of course, did not save main project...

should i go back to LV 8.2.0?

sorry i cant, this project is proprietary.
But i think i figured out the problem: the FP of the main vi has minimal screen size set for a 17" diameter screen. my laptop has only 15. then when i maximize the window, the size of the FP is smaller than its predefined minimum. it does work most of the time, but everytime i do 'undo', or create/delete a property node, LV resets the FP size to its minimal preset value. LV crashed quite often. now i cancelled the minimal size, and it seems much more stable. In my office computer i have no problem, but it is 8.2.0 there, with 17" panel...
