Labview - how to get index of a item selected

Hi All,
I have seen it in the labwindow and I cannot find an example in labview how to obtain the index
number of selected in the listbox if it is populated by unkown number of items.

The value of the listbox is the index of the selected row. With the property item names you get an array of strings, which you can index with value.
