We are developing a test bench using Labview 8.6.
We want to use Tablet PC with Wi-Fi connectivity which have Windows CE 6.0 OS, we required Mobile/PDA deployment module.
1)If Tablet PC have Windows XP OS, Is Mobile/PDA deployment module required?
2)If we directly run Labview 8.6 .exe on Tablet PC which have Windows Embedded operating system,is it working properly?
Please Suggest.
Thanks inadvance.....

hi,
to deploy an application on a tablet pc, you would need to install the Mobile/PDA module which will allow you to add the tablet pc on to your project and deploy the application.
No, you cannot cannot run labview8.6.exe on your windows embedded system/tablet pc.

That's wrong. If the OS is Windows XP on the Tablet PC, then you just need to use normal LabVIEW. You don't need to use the LabVIEW Mobile (PDA) Module.
If you are interested in deploying to a system that has Windows XP Embedded, the processor MUST be x86. You, then, need to use the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module 8.6, previous versions do not support that OS.

I think you are wrong here. If your device is running XP embedded, standard labview will work fine. Given that the XP embedded system has all the drivers, and DLLs that are needed installed (or embedded 😉 )

I apologize; that does seem to be worded the wrong way. If you are interested in using the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module to target a third-party Windows XP Embedded System, then the processor must be x86 and you should be using ver. 8.6.
Thanks t06afre 🙂
