Labview update from 7.0 to 7.1

I have Labview Express version 7.0 for students. I am trying to use a VI that was created by another person who was on a project that I am currently working on. However he used Labview 7.1 to save it and I cannot open his program on my computer (I have 7.0). I looked in the drivers and updates section on the website, but could not find any update that will ptach my version from 7.0 to 7.1. Please help. Thank you!!

The update from 7.0 to 7.1 is not free and is not available for download. You can have the other person save it as 7.0 or you can post the VI here and ask if someone can do the conversion for you.

Hi, sourjo.

Dennis is right (as usual) -- there's no free upgrade. However, with version 7.1 it's very easy to convert back to 7.0 by opening the VI and selecting File>>Save with Options and selecting Save for Previous.
