Have you considered using a bus adapter?

They do. Sometimes you need to be a little patient in getting a response.

Is that PCMCIA to USB or PCMCIA to Express?
It looks like the latter of the two. The problem is that even if a laptop comes with an express slot,
it will come with 1, not 2, so I'm still stuck.

The DualAdapter plugs into an ExpressCard slot and provides an external dongle that will support one PCMCIA card.
Since you need two, this probably won't work 😞

Why not just get a USB to PCMCIA adapter? As long as you have 2 USB ports this should work. And if you don't have 2 USB ports you can always get a USB hub.
I thought about that, but one adapter is $500 and the one to replace the PCMCIA card is $950.
That would almost double the price of the purchase if I had to buy a laptop and hardware replacement.
I'll keep looking for options. Thanks for your input so far everyone.

You never mentioned anything like a GPIB controller or a DAQ device. I wasn't talking about getting USB versions of the hardware you have. I was talking about one of these.
Ahh, much better (and by better I mean cheaper).
Is this type of third party hardware supported by LabVIEW?

Yeh, I guess it would help if I told you what equipment I currently have. I have:
- PCMCIA-GPIB card
