Lecroy Wavesurfer 454

hello everibody.

i am new in labview and i am tryng to use the Lecroy Wavesurfer 454 with labview 8.6.

unluckly i am not able to use the example vi in the driver file.

i run the example finder for Wavesurferand, then run lecroy wave series acquire waveform.VI and correctly setted the tcpip instruction with TCPIP::192.168.219.53::INSTR and run the VI.

the error that i received is: 

VISA:(Hex 0xBFFF0011) Insufficient location information or the device or resources is not present in the system

even if with the ping 192.168.219.53 command works correctly.

Hello Rouge,

Alan from LeCroy Tech Support here...  The problem is that the VISA resource string you are using isn't correct.  For TCPIP communications with the WaveSurfer400 series, you need to install LeCroy's VICP Passport on the remote PC; this is listed as a required component for the driver.  You can download the passport from LeCroy's website here: http://www.lecroy.com/tm/Library/Software/LabView/VICP.asp?menuid=8.   When using the VICP passport, the VISA resource string to use is VICP::<ip address>.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

with your help i was ablo to run the vi and acquire the waveform from the oscilloscope.

Just for the other people that can use this forum i have installed the lecroy vicp passport both on my pc and in the lecroy wavesurfer and reboot both the insturment. i put this command VICP::ip address::INSTR withou the ''<ip address>'' you told me and everything works correctly.
