Hello! I have questions, my company is thinking of investing in the purchase of the professional license of labview to develop, distribute and sell executables. I have seen the annual license, but We would like a lifetime license and the NI website only shows the annual license. Could you guide me? Also, if we buy the annual license, build the executables while we have them, and distribute them next year without the license and without development, is that even possible? How does this work?
Do plugins need an annual license?
Do apps need an annual license?
What are the steps to follow to sell executables?

These questions are best answered by a NI sales representative.

The LabVIEW Runtime Engine is free to use, and therefore so are your executables. Most drivers, such as NI-VISA and DAQmx, are also free to use even in runtime. But with the subscription license, you will not be able to make updates and rebuild your executable when the subscription expires (assuming you choose not to renew). Supposedly, if you get a hold of the right person inside of NI you can buy a perpetual license. I've only heard of one person doing this successfully.
