Licensing Developer Suite on machines NOT on Internet

I am running a development machine that is not capable of accessing the internet. As a Developer Suite user, I am really upset with the activation scheme that NI uses to activate all the modules on my Developer Suite. For me to come out to my desk and have to fill out the SAME form for the SAME Serial Number for the SAME Computer ID for each different module is just plain STUPID. Obviously, I would NI knows that this Serial Number is tied to a Developer Suite and would be able to give an activation code for AT LEAST the core components of the Developer Suite and possible separate codes for the add-on modules (RT & FPGA).

Then the fact that I have to bring in 12+ 20-digit codes into the lab and enter them onto my upgraded hardware just adds to the frustration.

Now that my 2011 DS2 is here I really have to weigh whether the time to do the install followed by the activation is worth it!!

I'm hoping someone here can help out with this. NI has not given me an answer in 2 separate support tickets.

The times in the past where I have had no connection available, I have had the wizard generate an email for me (text file if I recall correctly) that I just copy and paste into my email program.  NI will send an automated response back with a list of serials.  I don't recall if that can be directly imported into the activation wizard or not, but I didn't really see too much trouble copying and pasting the activation codes in if that was the route I had to take.

Last year, I needed to rebuild a PC with over 50 individual NI licenses (the wizard timed out asking for that many keysSmiley SurprisedSmiley SadSmiley Mad)

BUT, since I had my SSP up to date and requested e-mail confirmation, NI was very nice to generate a e-mail with my activation codes.  It was lengthy and listed each product and the activation code.  Afte getting through a couple of pages copy-pasting the individual codes (and getting a cramp in my mouse finger) I accidentally scrolled the e-mail to the end.....where they had printed "This section contains all of your activation codes in a format meant to be copied and pasted to the activation wizard"Smiley Very Happy.

OK, lets say that I cannot get that text file (other than in a printed version) from the machine in question to an internet connected mail client. Is it just possible to supply NI with the Computer ID and the Developer Suite Serial Number and get that list of all the activation codes - this sounds like what Jeff did.

I'll give it a try when I update my machine to 2100 DS2.

Thanks for your quick replies.

YUP right to the e-mail account you gave the wizard- you may need a thumb-drive to move a notepad file between machines but that should not be an issue unless the target only accepts 8" floppies
