MAX does not see the devices and interfaces

Hello,

  Just got a laptop to support the lab and installed Labview. For reasons I do not understands MAX does not see the com and USB ports in the laptop. The IT department gacve my id admin rights. Any ideas what is going on?

Did you open up MAX and verify that NI-VISA is installed? If it is, what version and what OS are you using?

Dennis, as usual, is correct.  Please check to see if NI-VISA is installed.  There's a KnowledgeBase article on how the com ports will not appear in MAX unless NI-VISA is installed.  The link for this article is below.

Hello, That was it, when I installed NI VISA I was able to see the the hardware interfaces. Thanks again!
