MAX hangs and doesn't see DAQ board

I have a PCI-MIO-16XE-50 (not sure what the new model # is), was working fine until a few days ago when i got a couple of blue screens (couldn't read all the info because of screen resolution).  Now the board is detected fine by windows which automatically installs the driver, but will not show up under MAX; also MAX runs very very slow, doesn't quite hang, but if i click on devices it takes about a minute for the window to refresh; my imaq board show up fine....any thoughts?  should i just try to wipe everything clean and reinstall?

I ran into a very similar problem a few months ago. I tried reinstalling the drivers a few times with no luck. I ended up doing a restore on the PXI chassis (it was faster than reinstalling the drivers anyway) and everything came back okay. Before doing anything drastic, I would try to make sure all the ini files are gone. I've repeatedly had problems with LV8 freezing on startup, and removing the ini file fixes it (I tried replacing the LV ini file with a known good one once, but that didn't work). I don't know if it will help with MAX, but it's worth a try.

Dug around on the boards a little more; this seems to have fixed it

Thanks for the info. That was actually one of the things that the NI Tech Support suggested at the time I was struggling with the problem, but at that point I had already decided to restore the system (it was new). It's nice to know there is an easier solution next time it rears its ugly head.
