Did you mean:

MAXServerUnknownError

OS:                      Windows7 Professional, 32 Bit, IP-address: 141.20.42.234

LabVIEW:            2010, Service Pack 1 (10.0.1)

MAX:                    5.3.3f2

Default-browser:  Internet Explorer 9 (9.0.41)

Silverlight:            5.1.50918.0

PXI-device:          Modell: PXI-8101, Serial#: 2F132025, IP-address: 141.20.42.220

MAX is communicating with PXI-device (UDP, TCP, GVCP, HTTP are up and running) but shows "MAXServerUnknownError" after launching.
I attached capture-file ("MAXServerUnknownError5.pcapng") and decoded returns of PXI-device ("MAXServerUnknownError5.txt").

What is missing, due to "MAXServerUnknownError" occurs? Shall I try it wiht IE11? (instead 9)

Have you tried using a more recent version of NI MAX?

Hi, yes I tried. It is not my project. The project was edited last in November 2019.

So as I was told, it was LabVIEW version 2010 (or 2010 SP1).

The PC crashed (virus infection) and I wasn't able to recover ab working LabVIEW2010-/MAX-installation.

I tried it starting with LabVIEW2010 SP1 and MAX v4.7.

Then I tried it with MAX-versions:
- 5.3

- 5.6

- 14.5

- 15.3

- 16.0.1

- 17.5

- 18.5

- 20.5

Only with the last version 20.5 of MAX, the MAXServerUnknownError did not occur and I was able to browse through the PXI-device.

Similar applies for the LabVIEW version:
I tried to open the project files (which are linked to the PXI-device IP-address) with version 2010 SP1, 2014 and 2020.
Only with version 2020 the node-entry of the PXI-device can be resolved.
I do not know, whether this client-setup ist matching in the legacy LabVIEW enviroment around?

Next week, the PhD is back from vacation, I gonna check and keep you in the loop.

Warm regards, Andreas
