MT Add AWGN VI

Hi

I am trying to generate a PSK signal with varying SNR. I'm using the MT Add AWGN Block to add noise the the signal. This block is decreasing the power of noise to maintain the desired Eb/No, which is okay. But I want to keep the Noise Power constant and increase the Signal Power to get the effective SNR. How can I do that? I'm thinking of using the simple White Gaussian Noise vi and multiplying the modulated signal with linear value of SNR. Will this be equivalent to the MT Add AWGN vi functionality?

Hi H.Mz,

You are using quite a few technical acronyms here that may put up a barrier to answering the actual question you want to ask. Is this something that you are confused about how to do in LabVIEW, or are you asking how to calculate a signal to noise ratio in a more general context? If it is just confusing about LabVIEW concepts, please post code that you have tried so far, and it will make it much easier for others to clear up the confusion. Thanks,

Gregory
