MY-RIO serial communication with the PC

How to use MYRIO to send serial data to host PC so that it can be used by other application(like MATLAB) the program should be stand alone(to be deployed) ? The idea is to make myrio as a joystick for some application developed on java which uses serial communication.

How to communicate (send accelerometer data)  myrio with host PC (without using shared variable concept/network communication)

You will need to design your application such that it can be operated and controlled via commands sent through their serial interface. You will also need to design the protocol. how much do you know about serial io and LabVIEW?
