Mac standalone labview application

Hello,

I'm running Labview 2010 professional on Windows 7 and have a need to create an application for a Mac, which I have never done before. I know that I cannot create an .exe file, since I think Mac's do not recognize that file type. However, despite some searching I can't seem to find how to configure a standalone application to run on a Mac machine. I found one note that says I need to configure it as a .app file, but wasn't clear how to do that and couldn't find any documentation or configuration options in the Application Builder.

Does anyone have any insight into how to accomplish this? Should I be creating a .app file or a .dmg file ultimately? Thanks?

I guess, you would need a Mac (running OS X) with LabVIEW and generate the application on that machine, otherwise you cannot generate mac-compatible apps

That's correct. You must purchase LabVIEW Mac version with its app builder.
