Making the border of a control transparant programmatically

I'm trying to make the box of a numeric (or string etc.) control transparant (or any color for that matter). It's possible to do using the paint brush from the Tools Palette:

But I don't find the property that allows me to do it. None of the following work:

And I don't see any other color properties in the properties list of the control. Maybe I'm missing something?

I don't think you're missing anything, it doesn't seem like there's a way to do that programmatically.
