Metrics gone wild...

Hi,

Well this is the first time I ever needed to use metrics. I've noticed
something strange and I suspect it's a bug, or at least undesirable.

Using LabVIEW 8.5 / FPGA.

When I get the metrics of a VI that has FPGA nodes in it's diagram, the
metrics report about 10 structures in the VI's diagram, while there is none.
It seems that the FPGA's XNodes are traversed like it is a structure,
instead of a function.

My application has a few hundred VI's. The main is easily the most complex
VI in it (state machine /w event structure) but all the FPGA communication
VI's exceed the main VI in metrics... It makes those VI's look really bad,
while there are only one or two objects in it.

Haven't checked this with other XNodes...

Regards,

Wiebe.

Hi Wiebe,

This was reported to R&D (#110439) for further investigation.

Thanks for your feedback!
