According to Running Executables or Installers on Different Windows Versions

Installers and executables are only guaranteed to work on the operating system they are built on.  For example, a Windows 10 installer or executable may not work as expected on a different Windows version (e.g. Windows XP, Windows 8, or Windows 7).

You should reach out to your contractor for the source code or ask them to build an installer for Win10. What Are the Differences Between a LabVIEW Executable and an Installer

The most common installer setting is "Windows 7 or later", so if you have a good installer package it should just be to install and be happy. Some are less complete and you might need to download and install e.g. DAQmx yourself. It's usually not any big problems.
