Hello,
You can easily make an MP3 player with LabVIEW by using an ActiveX control
(assuming you are using LabVIEW for Windows). I added a small VI to this
message so you can see how you can do this.

Hope this helps!

Hello !

I wonder if you can send me the file, but in LabVIEW 5.0 format. I still
use the late version and I'm not able to open the vi. I am very curious to
see it !
Thank and hope to hear from you soon.

Re: Mp3 player

when I use active X , it ok .

But if you don't use active X . How do you design mp3 in LabView ?

Re: Mp3 player

This is something I've thought about on and off as well.  LabVIEW is well-equipped to handle waveform acquisition and manipulation; has anyone ever implemented an MP3 decoder entirely in LabVIEW?  It'd make a fantastic demonstration for classroom use.  Using activeX to control an external, fully-capable MP3 player is effective but ultimately uninteresting from a signals point of view.

For now you can only use activeX to play mp3 files in LabVIEW. Here are links to some LabVIEW examples.

LabVIEW 5.1, LabVIEW 6.1, LabVIEW 7.1.
