NI 9145 EtherCAT Slave Chassis Compatibility with Windows 7

I am concerned about the compatibility of NI 9145 EtherCAT Slave chassis which is going to be used NI 9039 cRIO as the EtherCAT Master in a Windows 7 Enterprise system. For the NI 9145 to work I need to install the NI Industrial Communication for EtherCAT 16.1 or later version. I installed NI Industrial Communication for EtherCAT 15.0 version through NImax. For some reason version 16.1 is not available in the drop down list in NImax. Note, the LabVIEW RT software wizard shows that "LabVIEW RT 15.0.0", and "NI CompactRIO 15.0 August 2015 (currently installed)"  are installed.

First Query: Is Windows 7 operating system going to be a compatibility issue?

Second Query: How to install NI Industrial Communication for EtherCAT 16.1?

The minimum software requirements for the 9145 are:

Once EtherCAT 16.1 is installed to your computer, you should be able to install it to the 9039 via NI-MAX.

Correct, with a slight clarification: the readmes for CompactRIO 16.0 and EtherCAT 16.1 list Windows 7 SP1
