Hi,
We have a cRIO 9073 chassis and a digital input module (NI 9421). We also installed driver at this site - http://sine.ni.com/psp/app/doc/p/id/psp-177/lang/en and added "C series modules" under the "Chassis (cRIO - 9073)" as shown in picture #1 at attachment.
Is this way true to use 9421? And should we right click and select "deploy all" ? And how can we fix the conflict as shown in picture #2?
Thanks..

Hey drycsr,
First, make sure you have the drivers and rt versions listed here:
ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/tut/crio_software_versions.htm
Since you seem to have most of the system up and running, I think you do have those installed.
To solve the problem in picture 2, follow its instructions to install the scan engine support on your cRIO. This document is made for PXI chassis, but it explains the general process:
https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YILGCA4&l=en-US
This document may also be of help:
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7191
As to your other question, you seem to be using hybrid mode, which uses both scan interface mode (you have your module at the "chassis" level of your project) and FPGA mode (you have your module at the FPGA level of your project). This is not necessarily recommended, for the reasons outlined here: http://ae.natinst.com/public.nsf/web/searchinternal/61276465e3043c0c8625749e005cc8a1
Scan mode by itself is discussed here: https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/08/understanding-ni-compactrio-scan-mode.ht...
FPGA mode and scan mode are both discussed in the getting started guides located here:
https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/
Good luck.

Hi D Smith,
Thank you so much for your answer!! It was very helpful.
I've solved my problem following your suggestion. And i have installed wrong driver. I think I should install Scan Interface Support on the cRIO with using MAX and I checked "Using Scan Engine and FPGA Simultaneously on a CompactRIO" https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YIDfCAO&l=en-US .
