NI-DAQmx 19.6 LabVIEW support for LabView 2016 on Windows 11 Pro (24H2)

Hello,

when opening a LabVIEW 2016 (32 bit) project on my Win 11 Pro (24H2) development system I recognized, that the DAQmx support for LabVIEW 2016 was not installed (anymore). I reinstalled the NI-DAQmx 19.6 driver but during installation I don't get the option to select the LabVIEW 2016 support (32 bit) for installation.

On another system with Win 11 (23H2) this is possible.

Does anyone know if the Win 11 version change from 23H2 to 24H2 might be related to this?

And more important, is there something I can do, to get the LabVIEW support installed again? Or could I just copy some directories from the computer where it is installed?

I tried to repair the LabVIEW 2016 installation as well as NI-DAQmx 19.6.

Thanks a lot,

Sven

Hello Sven,

I am experiencing the same issue trying to install LabVIEW 2016 and DAQmx 19.6 on a Windows 11 pro (24H2) computer.

LabVIEW works but the DAQmx drivers don't seem to get installed in the LabVIEW 2016 folders.

Have you come up with a solution for this problem?

Thanks,

-John

Hello John,

unfortunately not.

I am using the other Win 11 system I mentioned in my original post (with an older Win 11 version) for recompiling the NI-DAQ-based packed libraries of my project if necessary, hoping, that this will work at least the next couple of month until the project finishes.

But at least it is good to know, that this seems to be a more common problem (although LabVIEW 2016 and "common" probably doesn't match very well any more 🙂 ) and is not related solely to something I did on my system.

Have a nice day,

Sven
