NI-DAQmx Driver support for Labview 2017 is missing

Solved!
Go to solution

I have LabVIEW 2017 installed and I want to use the NI USB-6001 device for data acquisition. However, I'm unable to find the NI-DAQmx VIs under the Measurement I/O palette in LabVIEW.

I have already tried installing various versions of the NI-DAQmx driver using NI MAX, including versions 20.7 (which is the latest version supported by LabVIEW 2017), 19.6, and 19.5, but the issue persists.

Additionally, I would like to use the NI USB-6001 with MATLAB. For this, I have installed the Data Acquisition Toolbox from the Add-Ons menu in MATLAB.

Please help me troubleshoot this issue.

When you installed LabVIEW 2017, you should have also installed NI DAQmx, which certainly can work with a USB-6001.

Do you have access to another PC with LabVIEW 2017 and DAQmx installed?  See if your USB-6001 will appear when you plug it in and open MAX (it should show up in Devices and Interfaces).

Do you have access to a PC with no version of LabVIEW installed?  Try installing a "clean" version of (only) LabVIEW 2017, along with the DAQmx drivers.

It would help us to help you if you open MAX, expand "Devices and Interfaces", and send us a screen-shot (maybe with the Software tab expanded) so we can see what might be missing.
