NI-DAQmx Run-time Engine for .NET Application

Hi. I developed a C# executable that uses a USB-6008 Multifunction DAQ to read multiple analog inputs.

I was wondering if NI-DAQmx Run-Time Engine 8.7.1 (Runtime 5) will suffice. Also, I noticed that the runtime engine's

install footprint is about 210 MB (my executable is only 56 KB), Is there any way I can reduce that further? I only need

for the target computer to recognize the USB-6008 and for the executable to be able to communicate with the device.

Please tell me there's a way to do this.

I don't think you should have any problems. That is the smallest version of the runtime engine available. Remember, with this distribution you cannot configure, name, or test devices without custom built applications.
