NI Device Drivers hangs up at 0% overall progress

I'm trying to install the drivers on windows 10 but the installation hangs up and no progress is observed.

Any suggestions on how to solve this issue? or what is happening?

Do you have LabVIEW or any other NI software installed? If so, which versions?

Where did you get the installer, online or off of a USB stick?

I saw the same thing and it took me days to finally get the install to run after many failed attempts trying different install options.

In the end I found that was an install process running when I looked at Task Manager. I blew away that install, got a warning about LV 7 and then the install worked.

That is all I can offer.

Double check that there isn't a dialogue window hiding behind something.

Might not be the case here, but I've had that hang up an installation before.

Here are some questions:

  • What version of LabVIEW are you installing?  This means "LabVIEW 2016, LabVIEW 7, LabVIEW 2017 SP1".  Also specify if 32-bit or 64-bit.
  • What Operating System (and what bit-ness) are you running?
  • What LabVIEW components are already installed?  What components and drivers are you trying to install at this time?  Note that you need to install components "in order", i.e. you must install older versions before installing newer ones, and you should usually install Drivers last.

I find it "odd" that you say that the drivers hang at 0%, but it shows the IVI driver installation (which I usually don't see installing, and certainly not first).

I know this is an old post, but I've had this issue many times. Currently having the same issue. In the past I've gotten the install to work by copying the install files to a local PC. We keep an approved installation on our software repo. Currently that is not solving the issue anymore.
