Solved!

Hi,

I have connected a DAQ device to the PC, but it doesnt show up in the NI Device Monitor.

its german which means no devices found. In NI max it is seen as

so it is seen as USB\VID.... and not Dev1. After googling, i found out the solution is to reinstall the DAQ software. I tried multiple times and its still not working. I dont know what to do now. BTW i want to let you know there is no labview installed in this PC. LabVIEW is installed in a different PC where I created the DAQ application.exe in labview and i want to run that in this PC, but this is the problem. In my pc with labview DAQ works perfectly fine. Also in the pc without labview, there is already a runtime installed and multiple other labview applications and they all work fine, but none of those applications use DAQ. This is the first time we are using an application with DAQ in this PC and its not working.  Kindly do help me. Thank you.

Try installing on a different pc to ensure that the device is working properly .

The device is working properly. As I said I am using this device in two PCs, my work PC with LabVIEW and the Factory PC without labview but uses my labview applications for different purposes and the latest purpose requires it connect to a DAQ device. In my work PC the DAQ device functions perfectly and I develop the app in my pc using the DAQ device. Now i go to the factory PC and connect the same DAQ device and download and install the DAQ driver, but still its not working. NI Device Monitor is saying no device found.

You mention installing "the DAQ driver" and "the DAQ software".  But you don't mention, specifically, what that is.

Which of these did you install?

  • DAQmx full install
    • If so, which version?
  • DAQmx runtime
    • If so, which version?
  • Something else that isn't DAQmx
    • If so, what?

My 2 cents : it may be that the drivers got messed and windows would not recognize it. Is it possible to remove all DAQ installation from Production PC  without messing the existing application then fresh install Daq drivers (MAX etc) ?

So my problem was NI MAX was not working because of this issue

And I corrected it and then everything was good.
