NI ELVISmx interfacing

Hello, all!

I have generated a signal using NI ELVISmx. I want to import that signal and analyze using block diagrams in the Labview. But, I can't import the signal data generated by the "Arbitrary Waveform Generator" in NI ELVISmx to the block diagram of Labview. Can anyone help in this regard? Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Hi Muhaisin!

One thing you can do is connect the output of your Waveform Generator to one of the Analog Inputs of the ELVIS. Then in LabVIEW, you can acquire the signal using the NI ELVISmx Oscilloscope Express VI.

After that, you can use any LabVIEW function you'd like to process and analyze the signal.

Happy Holidays!

Hello!

Thanks for your reply. I have already generated the signal using the signal generator of ELVISmx and checked it with the ELVISmx oscilloscope. The thing is I want to transfer the signal to the "Labview block diagram" so that I can process and analyze the signal generated. Do you know using which block diagram I can transfer the generated signal to the block diagram using "DAQ assistant" or any other blocks?

Yes, it would be the NI ELVISmx Oscilloscope Express VI. You can look for it either in the ELVISmx palette or in the quick drop (using CTRL+Space) and then typing the NI ELVISmx Oscilloscope

Thanks again. Do you know how can I save the data of the collected/observed signal in the oscilloscope of ELVISmx? I don't want to use the Labview components. Only the features available in the NI ELVISmx instrument launcher.
