NI Hardware Driver (e.g. USB-6001) on Apple Silicon (M4) with Parallels

I cannot install NIDAQmx. Does anybody know if this ever work?

All NI HW work only with AMD64 architecture (x64), and I don't think you'll be able to get it working with Apple silicon.

Hello geosig_labview,

unfortunately it cannot work on macOS, macOS is only compatible with the base version of NIDAQmx, "NIDAQmx base" if you still want to use it make sure to use:

  • macOS version 10.14 or below.
  • DAQmx Base driver 15.0.0 or below.

But if you are working on Windows VM via Parallels Desktop the complete NIDAQmx version should work. For that, you need to check the compatibility between the NIDAQmx version, and the OS used on the VM:

Here is a useful link that will give you details about both windows VM on macOS and the use of macOS: Using the NI myDAQ on an Apple Computer with macOS and a second link with the OS compatibilities: NI Hardware and Software Operating System Compatibility.

Have a good day,
Hugo
