NI-MAX version

HI guys!

I accidentally installed the NI-MAX driver in the latest version, so the existing project was not working.
Is there any way to know the version of the previous NI-MAX driver that I installed
In addition, if you install NI-MAX from a previous version to a latest version, will there be occasions when hardware support is not available?

thanks bro

The version of NI-MAX depends on what is the latest HW driver.

For example if you installed DAQmx 19.0 + NI DCPower 18.0, the version of NI MAX would be 19.0.

Hardware support doesn't depend on NI-MAX version, it does on driver version.

What hardware do you have a trouble? What driver did you update?

Thanks bro

I installed Ni daqmx. Isn't Ni dawmx the driver? And can you roll back to the ni daqmx previous version?

Roll back is really difficult. Even if you uninstall the latest daqmx driver, some component still remain in your PC.
It might cause driver trouble but anyone cannot say it would occur or not.

Which daqmx driver version did you install and what is your trouble?

I use 2018version. The previous version was 18.6 and the newly installed driver seems to have been downgraded to 18.0. In this case, do you ever stop working?

We have a bit confusion. Did you uninstall DAQmx 18.6 and then installed 18.0?

What trouble do you have???

Don't show up MAX? Application returned an error?

No description makes us bother.

LOL. I don't consider it work.  Jumping on the forums throughout the day is something to keep my mind sharp and focused on LabVIEW when I am actually working!

This seems very odd.  You said you upgraded accidentally, but you wanted to find a way to know what your previous version was.  But now you say you downgraded DAQmx from 18.6 to 18.0.  That isn't very easy to do.

But according to this https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/16/ni-daqmx-and-labview-compatibility.html either DAQmx 18.6 or 18.0 should work with LabVIEW 2018.

Is it possible when you installed the older version accidentally, you didn't install support for LabVIEW 2018?

When you say your "project isn't working", what specifically do you mean?  Are VI's broken?  Do they run but yield error messages?  Something else?

I suggest you install DAQmx 19.1, the latest and it is compatible with LabVIEW 2018.  Make sure you have the right boxes checked off that it includes support for LabVIEW 2018.

I found the version data that I captured in the previous version. The previous version was 18.6 and I accidentally downgraded it to 18.0. Because of my downgrade, the user said the program was not working. I wonder if there are any instances when the program does not work even when downgrading.
