NI Max 4.0 Broke my LAbview 7

I am running LV 7.0 RT and FPGA with Series 1 CAN cards.  I udated to the latest CAN driver 2.3.2f1, which required an update to MAX 4.0 from my MAX 3.0.  Now my systems FPGA is not working, and MAX 4.0 does not see any of my cards.  HELP!

Hi trophas,

Which CAN card and FPGA card are you using, and are you able to see the CAN card in MAX?  Also, have you tried rebooting the PC a second time to see if MAX will recognize the cards?  If you could, please elaborate a little more on your system setup so that we can narrow down the cause.

I ended up restoreing back to NI MAX 3.0 and all My LV,LVRT, and LVFPGA back from the install disks.  I believe that the 4.0 upgrade reinitialized all of my embedded settings.  When I have time, I will attempt 4.0 MAX again, and verify the security and all the other settings, but I have a delivery to make. THanks.

I'm glad you were able to get back to a working state.  Next time you try to upgrade, be sure to export your MAX settings to a .nce file just in case.  A normal install of MAX 4.0 over MAX 3.x should not erase your configuration data, but if something goes wrong with the install, this could result in a loss of configuration data.

Just revive this thread ro start a new one if you need any more help with this in the future.
