Hi everone,
I need to know what is the scaling equation that need to put in NI OSI explorer in order to get a correct reading from the FBG sensor?
Thanks

You'll have to explain somethings without using TLA's (three letter acronyms).
What is OSI explorer?
What is an FBG sensor?

Hi Ravens,
Thanks for reply, NI OSI is a driver for NI PXIe-4844, it stands for Optical Sensors Interrogator for Fiber Bragg Grating.
in NI OSI there is a scaling formula to write to convert the wavelength reading to an engineering unit such as microstrain etc..
I need to know what is difference between nominal wavelength and nulled wavelength.
your help appreciated.

What measurement are you trying to make, temperature, strain or something else? It has been a few months since I have used the OSI explorer, but I beleive the the nulled wavelength allows you to set an initial wavelength value for the FBG - thus allowing measurements to be taken from this value. Nominal wavelength is just the wavelength value as is. If all you want is wavelength then the equation should be 1*x.

Thanks Chris,
Yes I want to measure strain & temperature , I got the equasion thanks a lot.
