NI SCXI 1314

I was reffering to the one in MAX.

What exactly is happening in MAX?  Are you getting any kind of error from the Null Calibration Utility?  Can you attach a screenshot of what you are seeing?  Did you make sure that you have the strain gauge wired correctly, including shunt resistor connections?  What kind of strain gauge are you using (Quarter-, Half-, or Full-Bridge)?

Hey sean, this is exactly what happens.

I set up everything correctly, lets say, yesterday. Today I want to run an experiment so i want to recalibrate my strain gauge.

I open MAX, right click on the strain gauge, properties, then click on "calibration". From there, I wait till the value more or less stabilizes, and click on "null correct". I ignore "Shunt" because I have no idea what it is, and check my value by clicking on "update".

Everythign seems to be going normal, meaning i read around "-0.03, 0.02. 0.23, -0.01, etc..."
I click on exit, then Finish.

Then I enter "test panel", and somehow the value has now reached -1326....

why??

thanks

Hello,

This is strange...  Go ahead and try upgrading to NI-DAQ 6.9.3 (you can download this from: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/50F49E43A22C0D2186256BF3006B9A96) and see if that helps.  Do you have another SCXI-1520 that you can test this against?  It sounds like the calibration constants are not being stored properly...

Let me know your results...

Sean C.

Hey sean,

It fixed the problem (yipee), but now my VI can;t launch. All the SUB-VI's that it used cannot be found:

AI group config

AI hardware config

AI buffer config

AI clock config

AI parameter

AI start

AI clear

AI read

AI read scaled array

Convert Strain Gauge reading

Convert Strain Gauge reading (scalar)

SCXI Strain Null

Device reset

etc. etc. etc.... 😞

HEEEELP

Out of curiosity, what did you do to fix that problem with the missing subVIs?
