Hello,
I have some stock NI TC01 temperature probes that came with a thermocouple (the latest purchases do not include a thermocouple). My understanding is that it's a J-type thermocouple (I opened the connector, and the wires were Red and White, with fiberglass shield), and I can not locate anywhere within the documentation that identifies the supplied thermocouple probe type. I open the NI Test Panels through NI MAX and, assuming it's a J-Type thermocouple, I run the GUI to obtain the temperature (graph). My settings are default (Built-in CJC source, Temp max, min = 100-0 degrees C), and I noticed a ~3-degree error in the temperature readout. I performed the same test on another unit, and it shows a similar error.
What can be done to make the TC01 module read the correct temperature? I mounted the thermocouple probe in a secure location and placed another thermometer beside it. Also, I know for the fact, that the room temperature is not 27 degrees C, so I am sure the NI TC01 probe is reading it wrong.

I am not sure if I should choose the CJC source as constant, and how to determine the constant value. Moreover, my system will be shipped to Europe, and my preference is not to have any configurations defined. Could anyone explain why with the built-in CJC source, there's ~3 degree error, and what would be the best way to correct this measurement error?
Also, I am assuming the calibration is valid as I just opened the device from factory packaging.
