NI Training with Sixclear

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the NI Training company Sixclear and if it is worth signing up for.  Their sample videos look good and are easy to understand.  But I am wondering if is better to go through one of the onsite classes instead.  I don't really have the time so I thought I would use online training.  They have been good at answering all my questions, but I am still undecided as to go with NI's classes or Sixclear.  Sixclear is less expensive, but I want to make sure I get quality training for the money I spend.

Hi ZK,

Sorry for not replying here earlier!

We're happy to share testimonials and case studies with you regarding our LabVIEW training. Additionally, you'll note that we also hold classroom courses, either on-site at your company or at a location of our choosing where we have open enrollment. In fact, we have a course in Austin in a few weeks, we talk about it in our latest email: http://t.co/UrbEWCne

Hope this helps and please feel free to contact us directly for further questions!

I had training with SixClear in St. Louis about 18 months ago.  They were very concise and instructional.  But keep in mind, they cram a lot of information into you in a short 5 day period (Basics 1/2).  It's like this anywhere.  It's good for getting your feet wet and introducing you to concepts in labview, but don't expect to "know" labview after a week of training.  There's just too much information to absorb in a short amount of time.  The real knowledge you will learn on your own.  But it's a good introduction.  I believe it was Brian Spears who instructed us, I'm not sure, but he knew is stuff very well (as should be expected).

If the choice is between a sit-in class or online, I would definitely choose the sit-in.  I have taken an on-line class through NI before.  It's much better having the instructor right there to answer your questions rather than having to communicate through an electronic medium.  Plus you will learn more because you have all the tools right there.
