NI USB-6009 usage

Is the NI USB-6009 compatible with accelerometers, particularly IEPE accelerometers?

With any accelerometer you will need signal conditioning. Just make sure that the output of the signal conditioner is a BNC.

Thats the thing, IEPE accelerometers have internal signal conditioning, so I want to know if it can be integrated directly with the 6009.

I did a quick check online and there are several vendors that make those sensors, and it wasn't clear to me that they all used the same connectors. You probibly need to talk to the vendor you are going to use and ask them about connectors, and how to interface to a BNC. They should have any necessary adapters, or at least be able to point you to someone who would.

Oh yes, if you need to probvide an external power supply, make sure it is a linear supply. Modern switchers are smaller and light, but cheap ones can be very noisy.
