NI-XNET error in labview

Hi,

I am troubleshooting a 20-second timeout error on an NI-9866 LIN module in an NI-9181 cDAQ chassis. The issue appeared immediately after a series of system updates in January (Windows -is wt i feel like..).

System Setup:

• Module: NI-9866 (LIN/firmware version - 18061914)
• Chassis: NI-9181 (Ethernet cDAQ/firmware version - 1.1.0f0)
• PLC: AB 1769-L24ER 
• Switching: A physical relay switches the LIN lines between two different baseplates.

The Issue:

• Manual Mode works: When triggered manually (with a delay), communication is 100% stable.
• Auto Mode fails: In Auto Cycle, the PLC triggers the NI-XNET session immediately after the relay switches. This results in a persistent timeout or bus error.

I will recommend try uninstalling the updates. Recently I have encountered a case where CANoe software crashes on launch after Jan 31 Windows update. The system restored after reverting the updates.
