NI frame grabber and labview 2010

Hi,

I just installed Labview 2010 prof. So far so good.

Now I have a NI frame grabber that I want to install along with NI Vision acquisition sw from August 2009.

Labview 2010 is nicely installed in its own directory but when I install the NI vision sw it creates a second directory for labview 2009.

All the labview vis for the frame grabber are installed in the labview 2009 dir where the labview core libraries and other 2010 stuff are installed in labview 2010 dir. So I have two labview dirs now..!

The FG vis so not appear in the labview 2010 menus after starting up. I can not choose the dir where the FG drivers/vi must be installed to.

How can this be? And what do i have to do to make use of the FG vis in labview 2010?????

Any help?

This is surprising, I've never experienced that.. This behaviour is definitely not normal...

I suggest you call the NI Sales person who sold you the VDM and ask him to connect you to the technical support, they should be able to help.

I solved this problem by downloading the 2010 update sw for this frame grabber. And this driver is installed in the labview 2010 dir where it should be.

I removed the 2009 dir that was created by the previous driver.

But it is indeed strange.
