Hi there.
Replying to your question, presumably, all the computers are connected on a same network. I was able to ping each computer, no problem with that at all. Therefore, do I still need any RJ-45 or any crossover cable to perform the simple VIs? Do I even still need any of the cables(ethernet cable or crossover cable) which you have mentioned earlier since I can ping one from the other? If yes, please enlighten me. If not, what else could be the problem?
Forgive me for being such an amateur on this.

No, then you don't need any other cables. You don't have the two PC's connected together with a cable. They are part of a network and must have a hub , switch, or router between them.
What port numbers are you using for the communication? It is possible they are being blocked by the Windows firewall. Perhaps even by a router between the computers. Open up the Windows firewall and see if you can enable the port numbers you want to use.

Hi there, Ravens.
Thanks for your reply. I am using the default port numbers provided by the example VIs provided, "Simple Data Client" and "Simple Data Server".
Other than the possibility of being blocked by the Windows Firewall or even the router, is any configurations within LabVIEW itself still required to enable this form of communication?
