Need someone with Labview 7.0 to save VI in 6.1

Hi,

I need some help. I have a VI that was written in Labview 7.1, but our research grouip only has a license for 6.1. It's a fairly simple VI for controlling a piezo driven microscope stage. I manged to find someone else at the uni with Labview 7.1 to save it in version 7.0. Now I need someone to save it in version 6.1 for me. If anyone could help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated (and would save me a more than a few hours trying to write the VI myself)

Kind Regards,

Sam

Its seems you forgot to attach the code.
Please post the code so that somebody will save it for you.

Thanks,

Thanks, I missed the attachment button when I was making the first post. I've attached both the original VI and the one saved in 7.0

Hi Sam,
i don´t think so. Smiley Happy I recommend to write it new. See the attached pictures as a suggestion. You don´t need local variables.

Hi Sam,

I would tend to agree with Mike that your best bet is probably to rebuild this VI.  Having said that, I was able to save it in 6.1 but I can't promise you that it will work correctly.  The way that LabVIEW handles variables has changed a great deal between 6.1 and 7.1 but the run arrow is not broken so give it a try and let me know if it works the way you expect it to.  Thanks and have a great day!

Thank you for your help Stephen, the conversion worked without any issues. However, I'm taking your advice and rebuilding it from scratch anyway, I want more control over the way it runs, and learning how LabVIEW works is more beneficial in the long run.

I apologise for the late reply, I've been somewhat caught up with teaching and other commitments I haven't had a chance to test any of this out until today.
