No boot drive

Hello, I'm a student, I'm trying to use the real time of labview.

I've a desktop PC which I will use like the target. In it there is the labview 8.6. I've created a partition fat32 on it.

I use my laptop as host with the same labview. I've done the usb boot utility and turned on the desktop PC. It find the drives in the USB, when I try to "boot using software istalled on the hard disk" it write: "did not find boot program on the hard drive".

I try to find the desktop pc whit the host (I've turned off the firewall) but I can't.

What can I do? What did I do wrong?

Hi,

first of all, if you would like to use a desktop PC as a LabVIEW Real Time target, you have to ensure that the PC respects all the requirements described at this link.

Then, to configure the desktop PC, you will have to follow the procedure described here.

Also this link and this one can be useful.

I hope this helps!

Bye,

Licia

Thanks for reply.

My desktop PC respects all the requirments. I've already read all that links. I think I haven't understand all the things because my english is bad...

Have I to format the partition that I use for real time with the utility usb drive?

Because when I choose the option "boot in safe mode" the program says "Filesystem on drive 'C' not supported.

In the drive there are 2 partitions, the first one for windows os and the second formatted FAT32 for the real time.

I don't know if the utility format my first partition.
