I'd like to find a program we could modify to control this Omega device (OMB DAQ 55) so I can turn on and off the DO based on the AI.
we have the driver for the device.
i"m looking for a program that is already designed to turn on and off and Digital output, based on the setpoint of a temperature. In fact perhaps a PID controller would be great or Bang Bang for now.
But a temperature control program would be idea.
and if anyone has a program to control OMB DAQ 55 from Omega:
http://www.omega.com/ppt/pptsc.asp?ref=OMB-Daq55
Resources I know of:
The FTP site from Omega:
ftp://ftp.omega.com/public/DASGroup/products/OMB-DAQ5455&56/
my understanding is the driver for LabVIEW is in the above folder:
There are a few discussion forums that I found involving OMB DAQ 55 device:

thanks.

Hi vestel,
I took a quick look at our Instrument Driver Network and could not find an instrument driver for this product. It looks like you did find a set of LabVIEW VIs from the manufacturer, are you having trouble with these VIs?

We got the examples downloaded. is there something you have to do to get the examples to recognize the device. we verified the device talked to the comptuere using Omega's software...

Hi vestel,
That depends on how your device interfaces with LabVIEW. Generally, third-party devices using either Serial or GPIB protocols to communicate with LabVIEW, which generally points to using the VISA API. I am not sure how your device would interface with LabVIEW.
