Hi, need some help and guidance.
It dos work with SpectraSuite but not LabVIEW nor dos NI MAX detect it.
I have instaled the Omnidrvers (Here) and Ocean Optics 2000 4000 driveres (Here) . Followed the readme file and install the .inf file for USB2000+ and this version of NI-VISA (Here).
Still i can't get it to work, any suggestions?

Questions:
Note that the more common installation options are: Windows 7 or 10, 64-bit, and LabVIEW 2015 or 2016, 32-bit.
If you have installed LabVIEW, you should also install the Drivers specific to that version, ideally at the same time that you install LabVIEW itself.
It is not surprising that you don't see your device in MAX -- as the notes on the Oceans Optics Web Site states, this device is treated as a LabVIEW Instrument, addressable as a device under VISA. It is sometimes possible to see such devices in MAX, but you shouldn't count on it.

OS: Windows 10, 64-bit
LabVIEW: 2015 32-bit
I also have LabVIEW 2016 32-bit and 64-bit installed.(should i uninstall?)
This tutorial i did step by step, and still no detection in LabVIEW(see picture)
Dont know what to do, should i reinstall everything? or is there some other trick i can try?
thanks for the help.

"Once a driver has been installed, you can access the instrument driver from the Instrument I/O palette. For example, open the Agilent 34401 instrument driver that ships with LabVIEW from the Instrument I/O>>Instrument Drivers>>Agilent 34401 palette. The following figure shows this palette and some of the VIs and subpalettes that are shipped with it."
It looks like you followed the Example and got the proper Instrument Driver installed. Now show us what you see when you open Instrument I/O>>Instrument Drivers -- do you see a Palette for your Ocean Optics device? [Show us a picture]. If so, what do you see when you open that sub-Palette? [Show us a picture]. Note that there is a step-by-step progression of functions that you need to do -- you can't simply run Process Spectrum before you run (I don't know if this is the appropriate name, but) Initialize, which should output the VISA reference (I'm speculating here) that you need. Be patient.

InstrumentI/O picture
I was assuming that the Process Spectrum.vi would work as it already have a initialize block (see pcture Process Spectrum vi).
If i run the initialize block in anny program, only to see if it detects a VISA resource name i got this error code(see picture VISA Error).
not sure what to do, tyred this guide, dont know wat i am doing wrong
Thanks for the help so far.

I don't have access to the Ocean Optics manuals, nor to the Help for their Instrument Functions in LabVIEW. The Help for the Initialize function should tell you how to configure the inputs to avoid this error.
Have you tried contacting the Company?

So i tryed it on different PC and it works without no trouble. Did everyting in the exact same procedure, only differences is that i hadd a fresh instal of LabVIEW and used NIRQuest 512 instead of USB200+. NI-MAX detected the device immediately and no problems running Example VI's
I have yet to try out the USB200+ device on that same PC. I will have to do some more troubleshooting on the first computer to si if i can find a solution.
I will have the the chance to speak to a field engineer from the company in a couple of days.

Hi Jonathan,
Did you manage to solve the issue?. I am also facing same kind of problem. Could you please let me know how you have solved it?.
I am trying to connect an Ocean optics USB4000 spectrometer through Labview 2013. . Already installed the labview driver for the USB4000 device. I can access the device through Spectrasuite software, however the device is not showing in NIMAX. Device is showing in windows device manager as WinUsb oceanoptics device( attached screenshot)

I was never able to solve the original problem I a good way and ended up re-installing windows on the computer to make it work on that computer. I also changed to a different computer witch is the one that ended up being the lab-computer and had no problem there either. So I believe after consulting the the field engineer that it was some kind of windows driver configuration problem that originates on the windows side and not the driver side of things if that makes any sense.
I know we ended up changing(upgrading) to an Ibsen photonics spectrometer
new name as the mail i originally used was a student mail and I have since changed school
