Hello CIML,
3.5 nm shift, hummmm...
What is the device you are using? Do you happen to have the OOI Spectrasuite software? If so does it also show this error?
Electric dark correction...there are some pixel which are blocked from light. Average these pixels and subtract that average from the rest of the spectrum. To find out which pixels are dark for your device, search what ever your spectormeter is plus datasheet on google and it should be at the top.

Hi James!
A really good answer, thanks.
For the 1rst question, Spectrasuite doesn't show the same wavelength shift...
For the second one, I will try but it seems to be a good idea!

I've already posted on this issue earlier in the thread.....

Hi!
Thanks for your answers.
I don't know how to collect the first pixel values to make the average and substraction.
Have you seen a problem during continuous acquisition? Sometimes, the spectrometer "freezes" and it's impossible to communicate with him...

Hi,
I'm not sure the freezing is due to the spectrometer but if someone has seen the same problem...

Hi,
When using the Read Spectrum VI, should I include the Configure Strobe VI to enable the strobe to correctly Read Reference?
Thanks for the help,
Aym

Hello Aym,
As the VI states, this basically set a pin high or low on the terminal block of the spectrometer. This is used for controlling a light source connected to the the spectrometer through this connector block. If the light source you are using is not being controlled by the spectrometer then there is no need for this vi. If you have a light source controlled by the spectrometer then this vi is used to turn it on and off.

Perhaps you can explain a little better what you are trying to do exactly.

Hi James,
Thanks for replying.
I am trying to do Absorbance and Fluorescence measurements, but the light source is not being triggered so that I can correctly take a reference so I am not getting a correct spectrum.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Aym

Hello,
Has anyone done averaging if the spectrum? For example, if I want to take the average of 5 scans and then display the averaged spectrum as in the Process Spectrum example.
Appreciate if I can get help in this regards.
Thanks,
Aym
