Hi
Due to the dependency of a large legacy software package that needs to be supported, we've relegated a Windows XP SP3 + LabVIEW 2012 SP1 machine to a Hyper-V VM VHD.
It very seldom gets looked at and is purely a fall-back in terms of providing a development/build environment for maintainers to use.
We want to archive this VHD and allow a maintainer (usually myself) to pull it out, activate LV2012SP1, and do what they need to do on their hosting machine (a Win-10 or Win-11 laptop (say))
We have a stash of old perpetual serial numbers which we pass to those developers that need it.
I recently went through the process using my old serial numbers and the process worked fine.
After some months I have tried to do it again and whilst I can activate LV2012SP1 and the majority of support modules (FPGA, RT, etc) one does not seem to be available. The Touch Panel Module.
Previously we found I had to use my very old Z74******* serial number to get it listed on a product activation page.
Now it won't even list.
Oddly one of our other Z74****** serial numbers does list it, but the serial-number which specifically allocated to me will not work.
Why is this happening?
How do i get it resolved, when we no longer have an SSP in place?
Is there something about the license and activation system that I do not understand?!
Thanks

Submit a Service Request to NI Technical Support. Select Activate to submit an activation inquiry without SSP.

Tried that. I get stuck at the "Product Serial Number" step. Because the Touch Panel Module is old, it does not present a serial number in license manager (v3.7). I need to dig out the physical media it was delivered on (if it still exists). I usually just download and install these days so trying to find its serial-number is going to take some effort.
