PCI 6143 and PCI 6289 not reachable in MAX

Hello,
I have tow DAQ card; PCI 6143 and PCI 6289. I installed them and ı used them after a bit work. Then I need to change the target PC so I ınstall these card to anothet PC.( LAbVIEW real time is installed in that PC)
In MAX I can see both devices. PCI 6143 card failed in self test. It gives the following error  "the sepecified remote target is not reachable error 88900 occured"
When click the PCI 6289 card, MAX become unresponsive. (MAX is installed host PC, and not changed) After a long wait (approximately one our, in launch break) MAX give response, the attribute field of the MAX for PCI 6289 is just empty. (For PCI 6143 there is information such as bus number, IRQ, address etc)
What can cause these?
(At the beginning, when ı trie to reach PCI 6289  ı get the error 50103 , but this not repeat)
I trie to reinstall driver and card many times. But it does nor work:(

Hi,

Thank you for posting to the NI forums.  Which version of DAQmx are you using on the non-working computer?  If you are not using the most current version, I would recommend downloading DAQmx version 8.3.1.  Also, to isolate the problem further, if you don’t need to use Real-Time, try uninstalling it, and see if the problem disappears.

Post back with your results, and if this doesn’t help, we’ll try some more troubleshooting.  Thanks!

Thank you for your reply.
I update the deriver but nothing change.
I think i find the problem
I am using a computer with a backplane PCA 6114P12 Advantech It has 12 PCI slots; 3 of them primary and 9 secondary. 1 primary and 9 secondary slots of my computer are empty.
When I installed PCI card (PCI 6143 or PCI 6289) to the primary PCI slot, it pass  self test and also can be calibrated.,
When I installed PCI 6142 to a secondary PCI slot it pass self test but when I trie to calibrate it, it gives timeout.
When I installed PCI 6289 card to primary PCI slot ,it can not be reachable. I read a knowledgebase article about troubleshoting DAQ
it states that "Your PCI device may need to be installed in a PCI
slot under the first PCI bridge. Try moving your device to a PCI
slot that is closer to the CPU."
This can not be a solution for me since in my final product i will have
four PCI card so some of them should be installed secondary PCI slot!!. Is there any way to overcome this problem

Hi,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having problems with this PC.  We don’t currently have any documentation on this issue, but I’ll contact someone from our R&D department to see if they can find a better workaround.

Hi,

The best suggestion that we can offer is to upgrade the BIOS for your PC.  In addition to this, there should be some settings in the BIOS regarding the primary and secondary slots and their functionality.  Check out the settings in your BIOS to see if you can change the behavior of the PCI slots.
