PCI 7813R, PCI 5412 triggering

Hello out there,

I am wondering if there is a way to export a trigger from a PCI 7813R to a PCI 5412 function generator through the PCI bus or RTSI bus or some other method?

Thanx,
Karl

Hi Karl,

There certainly is!  The PCI 7813 has access to the full set of RTSI lines on the card, and these can be used as regular DIO lines from the FPGA.  To export a trigger from FPGA to the 5412, all you need to do is create an FPGA I/O point for the RTSI lines and use a digital output operation in your FPGA VI to output your trigger across the RTSI bus.  From the 5412, the  trigger is handled exactly like any other trigger.  If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
