PCI DAQ Board Installation in Win NT

I am installing a Meilhaus ME-3000 MIO card (PCI) in my Win NT machine. This card has been tried in other NT machines and installs fine , the slots in my PC are fine 'cos I have installed NI GPIB and NI-6025E cards before.

However when I instaall this ME--3000 card the install runs fine but then the PC just doesn't see the card. The LabVIEW drivers supplied actually consist of a number of DLL's that are called , these all return errors stating the hardware isn't present.

I am not that familiar with NT , where should I start looking ?

Hi Chris

Unfortunately the non-plug and play NT operating system does not have a device manager and will not recognise the insertion of new hardware.

National Instruments boards support NT and allow cards to be easily detected, configured and tested via Measurement and Automation explorer. Check whether Meilhaus have a similar installation/diagnostic utility you can use to do this.

I suspect either a faulty driver installation or incompatible PC may be to blame. As you have proved an NI DAQ board works correctly in the system, one solution could be to trade-in the Meilhaus board for a similar spec NI one.
