PCIe 6514 renaming in NI Max Error

Hi all,

I have one issue. After power failure and formatted the OS , installed NI Daqmx 2024 Q3 and NI Visa 2024 drivers.

Then Launching NI Max, showing the devices, image attached below.  We have used PCIe 6514 device as "Dev1" in our Labview 2024 Q3 application, likewise 6229 as Dev2 & Dev3.

My problem is that could not see any pop up menu on right clicking device shown (from image below) to rename as we wanted. What might be the issue and how should resolve this ?

Thanks for help.

That’s a DAQmx device. You explicitly mentioning to have installed NI-VISA makes me believe that you did not install from the full NI platform installer bundle (a 50+ GB installer) but only the LabVIEW installer (-5GB). You also need to install NI-DAQmx on your machine.

Never-mind I see you installed DAQmx too. But something went wrong with that installation. The device is partly recognized as Ni device but not correctly associated as DAQmx device. Maybe doing a repair install of DAQmx might help or try a later version of it.

Hi Rolf,

We did complete un-install and re-install of Daqmx drivers able to rename the device and works well.

But suddenly, all analog inputs went NaN. Anything should I look out for.

Thanks

Strange! My next step would be to try installing on a different computer. Your system seems to show a lot of surprises that I can't explain in any way.
