(PDA) iPAQ 210 serial (232) port support

Here is my predicament:

I am currently using a HX2490 to connect to our proprietary instrumentation over serial to control it.  HP no longer builds these units (hx2490) and so now I am looking at a replacement.  I have been looking at the iPAQ 210 as a possible replacement but I cannot find anyone to confirm that there is or isn't a serial port on the 210 that comes out the 22 pin connector like the hx2490 did.  I did talk to HP and they told me that 1, they do NOT support connection to any third party devices and 2, I can SYNC over serial to the PC using activeSYNC.  This to me indicates that there is indeed a 232 port on there.  Does anyone have any experience with this and can shed some light on this for me?  It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks A_Patel

I hadn't read that thread, but I had come across some other information which leads me to believe that indeed the iPAQ 210 does NOT have a built in serial port like the older iPAQs did.  Here is a link to a thread with some more details on the pin out of the 24 pin connector, although I cannot confirm the source of this information.  As far as I can tell, HP has scrapped the 232 port on thier PDA's (too bad for the likes of me) but a CF serial card might work.  I have read that some have had some success with these with the 210 and others have had difficulties.  If any more information comes to light, please post to this thread.
