PXI-8232

I am trying to get a PXI-8232 (GPIB and ethernet) card to work mounted in a PXI-1045 chassis.  I have installed the latest drivers, but the card still does not show up in MAX.

I am fairly sure that the physical connections are all sound, because I have successfully tested the ethernet connection of the card.

Any ideas welcome, although I am a complete LV novice so please dumb it down!

Have you powered on the PXi chassis before powering up the PC.

The PXI chassis acts like a PCI device in your PC and should be powered all the time the PC is powered on.

Yes, the chassis has been powered up the whole time.

I have no problem seeing the chassis in MAX, and all the other PXI cards show up too.  It is just the PXI-8232 which does not show up.  I am convinced the electrical connections are fine, as the ethernet port on the card does work.

In the other thread, which I've been following, rich_s has been giving you good advice, and posting the same issue again without a reference to the original thread causes people to regurgitate the same advice.
