PXI crash

Hello,
I'm using a PXI Rack 1044 communicating via PXI 8336 with the PC (OS: Windows XP).
I've programmed a Labview application which controls an output of a Meilhaus I/O card and this works fine.
But when I switch off the PXI-Rack and start it again, communication will be lost.
And there is no other way, but restarting the PC to solve this problem.

What can I do to avoid wasting time by rebooting the PC?

Kind regards,
Jan

As written in the User Manual (page 2-6) of the MXI-4 Interface, you should not power down the PXI Chassis before powering down the Host PC.
The PXI-Part has to be powered on BEFORE the host PC is powered on, and has to be powered off AFTER the host PC is powered off, and there is no workaround for this.
As the BIOS and Windows configure the resources on startup, if you switch of the PXI chassis while windows is running, all PXI-Cards will loose their resources, and even if you switch the chassis back on, they will not get new resourcesd assigned.

Switching a MXI-Interface on and off is similar to pulling a PCI board out of the PC and plugging it in again, without turning of the computer.
